Affordable Kitchens and Bathrooms Corporation (AKB), a firm created by David Decker, is an adjunct to his business Fulcrum Investments Co., a real estate investment company specializing in the purchase/sale and rehabilitation of distressed properties.

AKB was founded in early 2004 based on an opportunity David envisioned to enrich Indy area homeowners’ home renovation needs. With a need for artistic expression and to create something more, David embarked on his first project, outside his own company’s properties. He quickly realized the creative expression he could infuse in this work, as well as the sense of accomplishment and the feeling of pride upon completing a project, that increase in satisfaction by doing work for people that expected a balance of high quality, uniqueness, and approachability.

Based upon his desire to meet those needs, David took a stance in a very competitive industry based on customer service, open communication, quality workmanship and unique design in a sector that greatly needed it. These beliefs accompanied by hard work, discipline and dedication have led to referral after referral for AKB, repeat business and are the foundation for the company’s success and growth.

David envisions the company growing into the most desirable kitchen and bathroom design/build firm in the Indy area that continues to build lifelong relationships with its customers.
