Bathrooms: Timing
On the Clock
Even the simplest kitchen remodels are rarely a weekend project. That doesn't mean, however, that a project should take months either. There are a few important factors to consider when estimating a time line:
- Ordering | Some of the products or materials you choose may not be available locally. In this case, items may need to be ordered. For instance, if you were looking for a particular type or color of stone for your kitchen or bathroom countertops, we may need to look outside the Central Indiana area.
- Process | Remodeling projects involve many different stages. Within each stage are steps that often can't be rushed or hurried. For instance, many materials must dry for a minimum amount of time before they can be worked or finished. Drywall, tile, and floor finishings are good examples of parts of a project that require multiple steps that equate to multiple days.
- Environment | Ideally you would schedule your family vacation at the same time of your remodel, and return home to a beautiful new kitchen, right? We know that's unlikely, and are sympathetic to the impact home projects have on a family. It's a good idea to consider events in your social and family calendar when considering a project.
